Salary: £11.00 per hour (£22,800 per annum)

As our Head Housekeeper, you will be accountable for successfully managing the housekeeping operation and the housekeeping team at both St Martins Lodge - a 28-bedroom luxury boutique hotel, and St Martins House Conference Centre, both located in Leicester City Centre. 
 
You will be at the heart of our operation and we are looking for an individual who will share our energy and passion and will contribute to our ongoing success. 
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a hands-on position and as Head Housekeeper, you will supervise, train and work alongside your team to ensure all hotel rooms and areas in St Martins House Conference Centre are sparklingly clean and in tip-top condition, ensuring our high standards are maintained and consistently delivered. 
 
 
About the role… 
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to outstanding cleanliness and standards 
A hands-on position where you will supervise, train and work alongside your team 
Dealing with suppliers of linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies 
Scheduling staff rotas 
Overseeing stocktakes and other paperwork such as maintenance reports and safety audits 
Ensuring lost property is kept safely and returned to its owner 
An awareness of green issues 
You will have a minimum of 3-years experience as a head or deputy head hotel housekeeper 
You will be passionate about what you do and be able to lead and motivate your team to exceed targets such as Guest Satisfaction Scores 
You must be able to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines 
 
 
About you... 
As Head Housekeeper you will have excellent leadership skills with experience of developing and leading a team 
Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills to ensure a seamless and memorable experience, proactively resolving any challenges that may arise 
Strong communication skills through a variety of means 
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks 
High attention to detail and accuracy – great at managing your own time and the time of the team 
Proficient in health and safety and a confident trainer to train the team to meet company and compliance requirements
